Turmeric Latte

I have to share this delicious recipe with you – Turmeric latte, which is also known as Golden Milk.

Turmeric (Curcumin) is an amazing spice that not only tastes great but is soooo good for your body too. It is highly effective against any inflammation in the body, its also antibacterial and great for liver and digestive health. Its great for the colder months too as it helps keep your immune system strong.

I went out for brunch at the weekend and had a delicious turmeric latte, which reminded me of this recipe that I used to make all the time. I’m now hooked on these (again) and think you may be too once you try and also realise how easy it is to make at home.

Turmeric Latte

( dairy free, caffeine free, processed sugar free )

Ingredients :
– 1 tsp of turmeric powder
– 1 cup of coconut milk
– 1 tsp of raw honey
– 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
– 1/2 tsp of ginger powder (optional)
– 1 tsp of coconut oil

Directions:

Add coconut milk to a pan and gently bring to a simmer, try not to let it boil as this can make the milk separate. Add the turmeric, ginger and cinnamon powder. Whisk together well. Next add the coconut oil, and then the raw honey for sweetness.
You can adjust how much honey you add according to how sweet you like your lattes…
Once everything is added to the pan, and simmering gently, add to a blender to create the frothy latte effect. You will only need to blend for about 10 seconds.

Then serve in your favourite mug and relax and enjoy!
